Free Speech to Text Online
Click the microphone and start speaking. Your words are transcribed to text in real time using your browser's Speech Recognition API. Completely private — audio never leaves your device.
About Speech to Text
This tool uses the Web Speech Recognition API built into Chromium-based browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave) to transcribe your voice to text in real time. Speech recognition happens on Google's servers (for Chrome) or Microsoft's servers (for Edge) but is initiated directly from your browser without any ToolZeel servers being involved.
Continuous mode keeps the microphone open between pauses so you can dictate long documents without clicking Start repeatedly. Interim results show partial recognition as you speak, giving real-time feedback.
