About This Tool
The IP Address Lookup tool retrieves your public IP address directly in the browser using the ipify API — a free, reliable public API that returns your IP in JSON format. Both IPv4 (via api4.ipify.org) and IPv6 (via api6.ipify.org) addresses are queried in parallel so you see your full network identity instantly.
Your public IP address is the address assigned to your router or modem by your Internet Service Provider (ISP). It differs from your private/local IP (e.g. 192.168.x.x) which is only visible within your home or office network. Knowing your public IP is useful for configuring remote desktop, VPNs, firewalls, server whitelisting, and debugging network connectivity issues.
ToolZeel does not log, store, or share any IP address data. The API response is consumed directly by your browser and never passes through a ToolZeel server.
How to Use the IP Address Lookup

Your public IPv4 address is shown in the large card. If your network supports IPv6, that address is shown in the second card.
Copy to Clipboard
Click "Copy IPv4" or "Copy IPv6" to copy the address. Useful for pasting into firewall rules, SSH configs, or sharing with support teams.
Refresh if Needed
Click the Refresh button to re-query the API. Handy if you've just reconnected or switched networks.

Frequently Asked Questions
A public IP address is the IP assigned to your network by your ISP. It is visible to the internet and used to route data to your device. It differs from private/local IP addresses (like 192.168.x.x) used within your home or office network.
No. ToolZeel does not log or store any IP addresses. The lookup is made directly from your browser to the ipify API, and the result is shown only to you.
If your ISP supports dual-stack networking, you will have both an IPv4 (e.g. 203.0.113.1) and an IPv6 (e.g. 2001:db8::1) address. Both are displayed for completeness. Some networks only provide IPv4, in which case the IPv6 card will show "Not available".
An IP address can reveal your approximate city or region and identify your ISP, but it cannot pinpoint your precise home address. Geo-IP databases estimate location based on where your ISP has registered the IP block.
